Wear what makes you feel like your most comfortable, confident self.
As you start to piece together your clothing for our session together, think back to the last time you felt incredibly beautiful and comfortable in your skin. What were you doing? Who were you with? What were you wearing? Let’s channel that energy and those choices during our session.
For some folks, there is a magic color in their lives that makes them come alive. For others, its great fit and feel. For everyone, it’s shoes they can walk comfortably in for awhile.
Complementary Colors
Choose colors that go well together, but don’t match. Soft blues, greens, browns and grays make for a great base color, set alongside warm earth tones or deep jewel tones.
If you love wearing black or another dark color, contrast it with a brighter layer, like a denim jacket.
Prints & Bright Colors
If you’re hoping to wear a big, fun print or a really bright color, I suggest having your partner wear a more neutral outfit unless you REALLY know what you’re doing (like Jamie & Nick’s brilliant florals below).
Length & Flow for Dresses
If you’re comfortable wearing a dress, and happy to wear one that flows, movement always adds a special something to the photographs. Otherwise, jeans or slacks and a favorite tee, button-up or sweater will look great.
