You want to be present on your wedding day - with each other, with your family & friends.
You want photographs that feel thoughtful, lived-in and true.
I’m a documentary-style wedding photographer, known for capturing what I lovingly call the “marriage-themed dinner party”. I work with couples who plan their weddings from a place of gratitude for their community; who believe that good food and quality time together are the best ways to celebrate their love.
Documentary wedding photography is observant and story-focused. It’s reflection, meditation and proof.
“Look, there we are. THIS IS us.”
I live with my husband Charlie and our sweet kiddo in San Francisco. Charlie and I married at City Hall in NYC, with our families and a small group of friends. Afterwards, we took everyone to dinner at Rucola in Boerum Hill. They sat us at a long table in the middle of the restaurant, surrounded by their Tuesday night regulars. All of us together: eating pasta, drinking wine.
This is my twelfth year as a full time wedding photographer, and I work primarily in California, New York and Sweden. I take on a small number of weddings elsewhere each year.
I am grateful to serve all of my clients, and work hard to do so in a way that is loving, inclusive and self-aware. I feel especially grateful for my LGBTQIA+ clients. Bearing witness to and documenting your love is one of the greatest privileges of my life. Thank you for trusting me.
